Your gift will have a lasting impact for generations to come
Leaving a gift in your will can transform the lives of women and children who are homeless in Cork.
A bequest of any size, great or small, is of value to Good Shepherd Cork.
Types of Bequest
There are four different ways of leaving a donation to a charity in your will:
1. Pecuniary Bequest:
This is simply a gift of a specific sum of money.
2. Specific Gift:
This is a gift of a specific item.
3. Residuary Bequest:
This is a gift of part or all that remains in your estate once the executors have discharged all of their other obligations under the terms of your will.
4. Codicil:
This is a new clause inserted into a will that you have already made. It may be witnessed and signed in the same way as the original will.
Making a will is a relatively simple procedure, but we recommend you take the professional advice of your solicitor when doing so.
